Unified programs join people with and without disabilities on the same team! Unified programming is inspired by a simple principle: training together and playing together is a quick path to friendship and understanding.
The three (3) main goals of unified programming with Culpeper County Parks & Recreation are the following:
- Compassion education of all participants of unified programs. This will be accomplished by team building and compassion lessons intertwined into unified programs.
- Compassion education of all parents and community members. This will be accomplished by parent and community education opportunities throughout programming.
- Enjoyment of recreational and leisure services for all regardless of need or ability.
Culpeper County Parks & Recreation is dedicated to the development and improvement of unified programming in Culpeper County and the surrounding communities. Unified programs rotate throughout the year and are based on seasons and themed holiday programs.
