David Lee was elected to the Board of Supervisors on November 7, 2023 as the East Fairfax District representative. Prior to being elected, David served on the Culpeper Public Transportation Board and as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for local youth placed in foster care.
Supervisor Lee is a retired educator who proudly served in Virginia’s public school system for 36 years as a Principal, Assistant Principal, Teacher, and Football Coach. David is currently active with the Culpeper Literacy Council where he teaches English and serves as the Vice President on the Board of Directors. David earned a BA from Wake Forest University and a MA from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. In his free time he enjoys reading, travel, learning German, and fitness activities.
Supervisor Lee serves on Building and Grounds as Chairman, Public Safety, Career Partners, E911, Community Criminal Justice Board, Rappahannock Rapidan Regional Commission, VA Career Works-Piedmont Region, Library Board, Community Policy and Management.
David Lee's term expires December 31, 2027.
