Deadlines & Dates for the November 5, 2024, General and Special Elections
Early voting begins (at the General Registrar's Office) Friday, September 20 
Deadline to register to vote or update your registration

Tuesday, October 15 
Deadline to apply for an absentee ballot by mail

Office Hours:  8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Saturday, October 26

LAST DAY TO VOTE EARLY (at the General Registrar's Office)

Office Hours:  8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Saturday, November 2

Election Day - Polls are open from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.



*VOTING ON ELECTION DAY TAKES PLACE AT YOUR PRECINCT'S POLLING LOCATION. IT DOES NOT TAKE PLACE AT THE GENERAL REGISTRAR'S OFFICE ON ELECTION DAY.*

Absentee Deadlines (Vote-by-Mail & In-Person Early Voting)

 

  • Early voting begins 45 days prior to Election Day and takes place at the General Registrar's Office, located at 131 N. Main St.

     
  • Early voting always ends on the last Saturday before Election Day.

     
  • Applications for mailed ballots must be received by 5:00 pm on the 11th day preceding the election.

     

 

Voter Registration Deadlines

  • General Elections: 22 Days before Election Day

  • Primary Elections: 22 Days before Election Day

  • Special Elections: 13 Days before Election Day

  • Special Elections (Called by the Governor): 7 Days before Election Day
