  • Voter Registration Deadlines:

     

    • Friday, July 24, 2026 at 11:59 pm.

       

    • By-Mail - Postmarked no later than Friday, July 24, 2026.

      • Voters may register through Election Day, and vote using a provisional ballot.

         

  • Early & Absentee Voting:

     

    • Early voting opens - Thursday, June 18, 2026. Location: 131 North Main Street, Culpeper, VA 

       

    • Early voting hours are 8:30am-4:30pm Monday-Friday except the 2 Saturdays and 2 Sundays as listed below.

       

    • Last day to request a ballot be mailed to you - Friday, July 24, 2026

       

    • Early Voting is available on Saturday, July 25, 2026 and August 1, 2026 from 8:30am-4:30pm.

       

    • Early Voting is available on Sunday, July 19, 2026 and July 26, 2026 from 11am-4pm.

       

    • Last day to Vote Early in-person - Saturday, August 1, 2026.

       

  • Note: The office will be closed on the following County Holidays: Friday, June 19, 2026 and Friday, July 3, 2026.


 

 

 

VIRGINIA ABSENTEE DEADLINES (Early Voting & Voting by Mail)

  • Absentee voting begins 45 days prior to Election Day.
  • Early voting always ends on the last Saturday before Election Day.
  • Absentee ballot applications must be received by 5:00 p.m. on the 11th day preceding the election.
     


VIRGINIA VOTER REGISTRATION DEADLINES

 

All Virginia voters must apply to register to vote or update their existing voter registration by the deadlines outlined below.

  • General Elections: 10 Days before Election Day
  • Primary Elections: 10 Days before Election Day
  • Special Elections: 10 Days before Election Day
  • For Special Elections Called by the Governor, Speaker of the House of Delegates, or President pro tempore of the Senate: 6 Days before Election Day
