- An application is required for initial and renewal permits.
- Application available online ($2.00 fee is assessed if printed at the clerks office)
- All four pages completed and signed before submitting to the Culpeper County Clerk's Office
- First time applicants must present proof of competency in handling a firearm and present the application in person. (Virginia Code 18.2 - 308.02)
- Renewals accepted by mail and must include a photocopy of applicants valid Photo ID. (Copy of previous permit not required, but is helpful for the Sheriff’s Office).
- $50.00 fee - Cash, Check, or Credit Card Accepted. Visa/Mastercard/Discover/American Express only and a 4% fee will be charged for use of credit card. Only Check or Money Order Payable to the: Clerk of Court, accepted by mail for Renewals.
