The Laurel Valley Solid Waste Transfer Station is located about 5 miles northwest of the Town of Culpeper (just off Route 522). This facility is for the use of Culpeper County residents, property owners or duly authorized permit holders. A valid form of ID is required with a County or Town address in order to use the Transfer Station facility.
Residential Convenience Center Hours of Operation
- Monday through Saturday 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
- Sunday 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM
*On Sunday we accept bagged trash only
Transfer Station Scale House Hours of Operation
- Monday through Saturday 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Holiday Closure - The Transfer Station is closed on the following holidays:
- New Year's Day
- Memorial Day
- Independence Day
- Labor Day
- Thanksgiving Day
- Christmas Day
Fee Schedule
When Scales are in Operation
- Municipal Solid Waste (General Waste) $67.50/ton
- Residential < 500lbs FREE (Limited to one visit per day.)
- Residential > 500lbs $67.50 for entire load
- Debris $67.50/ton
- Brush (Wood chips will be considered General Waste) $67.50/ton
- AC, Refrigerators, freezers (items with freon) $10.00 each
- Whole Tires -
- <26 Inches Diameter $4.00 each
- <36 Inches Diameter $6.00 each
- <46 Inches Diameter $12.00 each
- >46" Diameter, NOT ACCEPTED
- Tires or rims <18 inches in diameter $12.00 each
*Split tires will be considered General Waste and will be charged accordingly.
