The Board of Supervisors' Financial Policies document is a statement of the guidelines and goals that will influence and guide the financial management practice of the County. The Board recognizes that a financial policy that is adopted, adhered to, and regularly reviewed is the cornerstone of sound financial management.
The Financial Policies are divided into the following subcategories:
- Fund structure;
- Budget Policy, including operating and capital;
- Asset management;
- Revenue policy, including grants;
- Debt policy;
- Fund balance policy;
- Accounting, Auditing and Financial Reporting Policy; and
- Risk Management Policy
