Financial Policies

 

The Board of Supervisors' Financial Policies document is a statement of the guidelines and goals that will influence and guide the financial management practice of the County.  The Board recognizes that a financial policy that is adopted, adhered to, and regularly reviewed is the cornerstone of sound financial management.

The Financial Policies are divided into the following subcategories:

  • Fund structure;
  • Budget Policy, including operating and capital;
  • Asset management;
  • Revenue policy, including grants;
  • Debt policy;
  • Fund balance policy;
  • Accounting, Auditing and Financial Reporting Policy; and
  • Risk Management Policy
