Short-Term Disability (STD) provides a benefit of 60% of the 1st $1667.00 of weekly pre-disability earnings for a maximum of 90 days, after a 14-day waiting period. Long-term disability (LTD) provides a monthly benefit of 50% after a 90-day waiting period.
Effective January 1, 2014, some new regular full-time employees hired on or after January 1, 2014 will be enrolled in the Hybrid plan. The minimum benefit amount for short-term disability (STD) under the Hybrid Plan is 60% of monthly salary, for a maximum of 125 days, after a 7 day waiting period. Long-Term Disability (LTD) under the Hybrid Plan provides a monthly benefit of 60% of the employees monthly salary, after a 125-work day elimination period.
