Pavilion & Shelter RESERVATIONS
Please READ this entire page, your questions are most likely answered below.
Reservations are taken during the calendar year for that calendar year only. The following calendar year reservations can not be taken until the first business day in January of that year.
We are now accepting reservations for all of 2019.
Facility Reservations are accepted on a first come, first serve basis.
We recommend that you call (540-727-3412 ext. 4 or 5.) or email the Department to see if your desired date is available before submitting reservation forms.
Weekends book up very quickly as well as several months in advance. If submitting the facility request packet by email or fax, it is your responsibility to call immediately following submission and provide your payment information.
If you mail your forms, you will receive an email copy of your permit (if you provided an email address). If you do not receive a copy of your permit within a reasonable time frame, it is YOUR responsibility to conrim that we have received your paperwork.
The reservation MUST be in the name of the PAYEE. (The person paying for the reservation is the person renting the facility - this person's residency determines the fee rate)
Reservations for 2019
NEW!! In 2019 reservations will be made either by the 1/2 day (morning OR afternoon) or by the full day (both).
You can either reserved 7:00am - 1:00pm OR 2:00pm - Close (see below for "closing" times).
You can reserve the Full Day, 7:00am - Close.
1:00pm - 2:00pm is reserved for cleaning the facility. If you need this time frame for your event, you will be booked / charged for the Full Day rate. See Facility Fees document below for pricing.
Beginning November 4, 2018 - March 9, 2019 (during Daylight Standard Time)
Lenn Park Pavilion & Spilman Park Shelter will open at 7:00am and close at 6:00pm.
March 10, 2019 - November 3, 2019 (during Daylight Saving Time)
Lenn Park Pavilion & Spilman Park Shelter will open at 7:00am and close at 9:00pm.

Park Facility Request Packet (REQUIRED: print, fill out, & return)
Facility Fees (Rates follow PAYEE) - if you are booking a field, please include this form with your submission, to sepcify which field you are rerquesting.
Please submit the Park Facility Request Packet to start your reservation process.
We must receive the request form AND the SIGNED signature page stating that you have read and agree to the rules for use.
Reservations are NOT finalized until Full payment (deposits AND rental fees) AND paperwork has been received, and a permit created.
Forms can be submitted:
- in person at the Parks & Recreation office at 131 N. Main St., Culpeper during our normal business hours of Monday - Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm (excluding holidays)
- by fax to 540-727-2802
- by email to Parks@CulpeperCounty.gov
If submitting by fax or email, the reservation is NOT guaranteed until full payment is received. Full Payment means reservations fees AND deposits are collected at the time of reservation to finalize your booking.
It is your responsibility to follow up your form submission with a phone call advising of your payment information during normal business hours. Your documentation will be held until the end of the business day it was received awaiting payment information but your reservation is not confirmed until we have your payment information along with the completed forms. (Meaning if another reservation form with payment comes in while we are awaiting your payment, the reservation with payment will receive the booking).
We accept cash, check or credit cards (Visa, Master Card, American Express or Discover). Reservations sent in by email or fax must be completed by a credit card payment by the end of the business day (4:30pm). As long as the facility is left 'clean & orderly', your deposit will be refunded back to your credit card. Once your refund is processed you will receive an email receipt for your records. The card company has 3-5 business days to post to actually post the refund to your account. If paid by cash or check, you will be refunded by a mailed check. It can take up to 45 business days to receive your deposit refund in the form of a check by postal mail.
The first business day of each calendar year, reservations are only accepted in person - email forms will not be accepted this day only.
