BE ON ALERT...an important message for homeowners from the Building Department - Monday, January 25, 2010

We have received complaints that there are individuals masquerading as County Building Inspectors.

These impersonators claim to want to inspect your chimney.  Do not let anyone claiming to be a Culpeper County Building Inspector into your home unless they have displayed the proper identification.

To the citizens of both Town and County of Culpeper, the Culpeper County Building Department field inspectors do not make unscheduled site inspections (other than illegal work complaints).  Our inspectors are required to produce identification upon request.  Our vehicles are identified with the County seal.
