Governor McAuliffe Announces 58 New Jobs in Culpeper County


~ EURO-COMPOSITES® Group to invest $10.5 million to expand its U.S. operation~


RICHMOND - Governor Terry McAuliffe announced today that EURO-COMPOSITES® Group will invest $10.5 million to expand its U.S. operation in Culpeper County. The company manufactures advanced honeycomb composite materials used in aviation, space, industrial, and defense technology applications, and will expand the facility by 51,000 square feet and add new equipment to increase production of composite-based parts associated with the aerospace industry. Virginia successfully competed against Echternach, Luxembourg for the project, which will create 58 new jobs.  Read more.


The Culpeper County Board of Supervisors were recently awarded a grant of $8,006 to go towards the purchase of four AED Defibrillators that will be located at the Culpeper Sports Complex and Lenn Parks. Presenting the award from left to right are Kelly Bennett, administrative assistant, Lilly Bunch, Interim President of Culpeper Wellness Foundation and presenter Sandy Boone, Director of Community Outreach and Development. Accepting the award is John Barrett, County Parks and Recreation Director and Alexa Fritz, Chairperson of Culpeper County Board of Supervisors.

Governor Terry McAuliffe attended an event in Culpeper County on July 28, 2015.  Speaking to a crowd of approximately 75 local and state attendees, he announced that Continental, a manufacturing business located off Lover’s Lane, intends to invest approximately $49 million to expand its local operation.
