Information Technology and Records Management is a combined department that strives to continually provide the technology and support to ensure the efficient and effective operation of County government and to make governmental resources accessible to its citizens by incorporating changes and advances in technology and by working within the realms of afford-ability to the County and its citizens.
The department strives to give focus and direction to staff within the department and to help plan, implement and maintain the current infrastructure in order to better Serve all the County and Constitutional offices, agencies, and School Board, with an assurance of data integrity and reliability.
INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY MISSION STATEMENT
Information Technology's mission is to provide and support the technological systems and services that the County government utilizes in accomplishing its mission of being citizen centered, data driven and performance managed.
Information Technology determines, plans, procures, implements, and supports equipment, maintenance, repair, training, and other services needed to operate information systems and the network. The department provides support to other County agencies in the areas of telecommunications, network and e-mail access.
RECORDS MANAGEMENT MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of Records Management is to ensure access to past, present, and future records by applying Records Management principles and the Library of Virginia guidelines to all records regardless of their format.
Records Management works with all County Departments to ensure efficient and effective management and control of the creation, maintenance, usage, and disposal of records, files and forms.
