When you first look at Lenn Park, you would think it’s just a large tract of land with green fields. But on Saturday, June 5^th all that changed with the Grand Opening of the Barnstormers Remote Control Model Airplane airstrip. 

The Barnstormers, a group of volunteers headed by Nicholas Burhans has been extremely busy preparing land that would otherwise be considered floodplain into a workable landing strip for model airplane enthusiasts. 

With clouds showing a threat of showers accompanied with high humidity, the opening was a spectacle to behold. Over 100 visitors drove the eight-tenths of a mile dirt road to the festivity site.
